I've been for my endometrium scratch this morning and the consultant told me I have thrush. She said this when she checked my cervix. Everytime I have a swab done it comes back with thrush. I have treated this with several things including pessary, cream and tablet but still get a positive swab. I've also treated my oh. Thing is im completely asymptomatic so unless I have swab/check I would be non the wiser! 🤷
She suggested i get a probiotic from health store and that should help. I've just been online and there are so many! Can anyone suggest a good brand that worked for them. I'm in the UK ☺️

Hi! I've been having problems with thrush especially during IVF cycles and it can be so frustrating. For my FET I used both Canesflor vaginal capsules but also oral tablets with a strain of probiotics that will affect the reproductive system (I also used standard gut ones because I also get oral thrush). You can just Google thrush and you get a range of tablets you can use. Someone here on this forum advised what specific strains to look out for: lactobasillicus crispatus, lactobasillicus rhamnosus, lactobasillicus reuteri and lactobasillicus plantarum (I hope I spelled them correctly). It worked for me this time but I used them as a preventive measure. I really would suggest you to speak to your GP or clinic to see if they can advise you on how to get rid of it properly before you use probiotics to replace everything with a healthy flora. It's probably absolutely nothing but sometimes having thrush that doesn't go away with standard treatment can be connected to a different issue that impacts your immune system (such as low iron). Or something environmental like for example with me I think it is connected to latex in the condoms they use for scanning. It's worth working out what may causes it.
Sorry for the long post- I've done too much research on this topic 🤦♀️ I hope you get rid of it soon and your treatment is successful! Xxx
Thank you so much for such an informative reply 💕 I live that you've done so much research on it ☺️
The consultant who was doing the scratch was the one who advised on the probiotics. She also did say sometimes it can indicate poor immunity but didn't go further into detail. Since I'm very well and never get poorly I read nothing into it but not im thinking I may get full blood work done. I will have a chat with my GP who was lovely and did some swabs for me in May whist checking me over.
I also did think about the latex from scans and also possibly some lube I have been using (sorry tmi). I've also read that some women get reoccurring thrush after every period..I hope that's not me 😬 its just got me stumped as I've never had any symptoms at all.
Thank you so much for the well wishes and send them back to you 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx
I'm hope you found it useful. I don't think you can be TMI on this forum 😂 It's good you have planned seeing your GP to find out what may be the cause. If you normally don't have any health issues it may be the lube or latex rather than an immune issue but it is still good to make sure. I didn't realise there was a link between thrush and infertility until the consultant started talking about the EMMA test and making me paranoid (I never did the test because it's way too expensive). I've always got something wrong with me but I have had various tests (lupus, thyroid, arthritis, celiac disease) but other than vitamin deficiencies they've never found anything that could be the cause. I think my problems are worse after periods- it's so annoying. Some people also do a really strict 'anti thrush diet'- cutting out all sugar and most carbs- but I couldn't handle that I'm afraid.
