First IVF Cycle - what does it do to your normal cycle length?

So I'm in my 2ww and I'm on day 26 of my cycle. Even with the not so glorious progesterone pessaries all I feel is like my period is coming. My cycles are normally only 26 days long (I've very regular), and I've been told not to test until day 30. Does an IVF cycle with all the hormones etc make your cycle longer? I guess I'll find out tomorrow but any advice you have from previous cycles would be appreciated. Thanks x

Ignore your normal cycle length when you’re on an IVF cycle as the medication will change it. Most people won’t bleed when on progesterone, if you get a positive on your test day you will be asked to keep taking it. If it’s negative then normally you’re asked to stop taking it and then you’ll get your period. Good luck!x

Thank you so much for the advice. Fingers crossed for the positive result. I'll try to stop worrying about it too much and see what Friday brings!
