On Twitter theres already been some hateful comments I've come across like "it's not life or death" and basically saying it's a choice and not important.

Its just ignorance. I look at some of these people and i think, infertility would absolutely break your tiny narrow mind. There arguments are poor ‘adopt, nature wont allow it so its not meant to be, its not important’. Got forbid a person / couple want to bring a much wanted and loved child into the world. I cant read them anymore .. gets me really angry.

Ahhh yes the "just adopt" mantra. Adopting (while amazing) is a completely different route and experience.... otherwise you would just tell ANYONE getting pregnant naturally to "just" adopt.....

It is really good, I am however concerned about if there will be exceptions to parts of treatments , but it is atleast a start. Clinics can apply to HFEA from 11th to be assessed so should be planning / contacting patients now, or atleast my clinic said this is the plan xx

Yeah we’re paying private. How about you? I also emailed them earlier to ask about dates. We’ve unfortunately just had a failed IVF cycle and don’t have anything in the freezer so eager to start as soon as possible.x

We are NHS so thinking that it may take us a little longer, and we also need to see the consultant before we get started, but every step in the right direction is good 👍

Yeah we’re paying private too. Was just about to start injections the week they called to cancel. Would you mind letting me know what they say to you if they e mail or maybe even call you please? I had double donor IVF cancelled, had just started , loosing hope atm , tired of the battles of it all and impossible to have conversations with the clinic as they are closed / too busy.

i woke to msgs from a family member today saying how sorry they felt for Carrie ( PM partner) and hope she had people looking after her as what she has going on ( a baby) is so emotionally and physically challenging . No one in my family has ever expressed sorry for my infertility or looked after me in 22 years of fertility illness and treatments, I feel like i have been stabbed in the chest atm and somewhat devestated. Sorry for negativity, struggling.x

So sorry to hear how you are feeling that way SouthWestCat must be so hard to see your sister in law as well just now and hear your family have empathy for a stranger before you 🤗 I genuinely think some people just don’t think or get it at all! Fridays announcement was one step in the right direction but we will all need to dig deep for another bit of patience. In my head I’ve said May for clinic applying to reopen and get set up, June for getting all the consultation appointments rebooked and then hopefully July for my treatment restarting which I’m hoping is realistic as that’s about all the patience I have left 😂🤣. I’m just going to keep an eye on their webpage until it says anything about Repoening and re booking appointments as I think it’s pointless phoning emailing just now as they will be swamped and it will get me worked up when I don’t get through or get the answers I want😭. As we had our cycles/appointments cancelled we should be top of the list when they do start rebooking cycles in 🤞🏽In the mean time gonna get myself a little healthier as I have been having one too many lockdown treats 😄🙈 and start on some new vitamins. 💪🏼 So that when they are ready so am I! I hope you are feeling a little better today and If you need to talk I’m here 🤗 xx
