So I’ve had my viability scan this morning, I’ve been an emotional mess these last few days and not been able to have my OH there was hard.
BUT!! There are 2 healthy heart beats both measuring 8 weeks 💓💓
I’m still in complete shock tbh, it really feels like a blessing. I’ve never got this far before. And the clinic had said the likelihood of it being twins would be small due to my age - 40 in a months time!
I know there is still a long way to go but I’m going to keep positive that these 2 are here to stay 🙏🏽
I also want to say that my thoughts are with everyone who are waiting to have their cycles. I have a feeling that come June you will be able to start again 🤞🏼

Ah, Good thanks . We saw everything intact including a heartbeat - at 6w measuring a few days behind so we have our main 7week a week today. Hoping bean grows some what for us this week xx
Congratulations. That’s amazing news ❤️❤️ I had just turned 41 when I found out my 2nd round of IVF worked and I was pregnant with twins. It’s seems like yesterday I was where you are but I’m now 36 weeks and due to have my girls next week by c section!

To be honest, I’ve think I’ve been very lucky. The first 2 trimesters were physically quite easy! No morning sickness or anything. We had a bit of a scare around 22 weeks Re the growth scan for twin 2 - they thought she was a bit smaller than she should’ve been but the hospital were brilliant, I had a scan every 2 weeks just to keep an eye on them. Twin 2 caught up and they think it was just a blip in the measurement. They said to remember they are measuring a tiny moving target in millimetres through your stomach/uterus so there’s always room for errors! It was good to get all the extra scans though which reassured us each time - I had 14 in total!! Last one was on Monday, both are looking good and weighing around 5.5lbs.
The last few weeks haven’t been as easy just because my bump is now huge and heavy! But I won’t complain, as long as they are growing healthily that’s all that matters. Feel free to message me with any questions you might have throughout your pregnancy. I found speaking to people on here very useful ❤️
I suppose I had a slight suspicion that both of them had implanted because of the pregnancy tests. They would go so dark within seconds. Also just the extreme tiredness but at the same time I wasn’t sure because I’d got this far last year and was having all the symptoms but there was no heart beat at the scan. I think I’d got myself so worked up that it was going to be the same again. Xx
On the whole sounds like you’ve had a nice pregnancy. It’s reassuring also to know you get all those extra scans. I’m glad they are both looking healthy ☺️
When did you start getting a bump? I’ve heard it comes a lot sooner.
I’ve not been feeling so bad tbh, I get waves of nausea but not to the point I can’t eat. It’s the tiredness at the moment I’m finding the hardest.
I think we would want to find out the sex. There’s a lot more planning to do with 2!

It was through ICSI and a double transfer. Both same grade embryos - 4BB.
I’ve heard they should be the same grades in the hope they both have a chance of making it.

Ha ha ha nope, my patience hasnt gotten any better through this journey. I think the clinics in Athens are talking about opening soon but flights from the UK are banned so will have to wait until they let us in! Hopefully get back on the horse soon.xx

Thanks Mary. Your comment has brought tears to my eyes. I find it amazing on this group that people can be so kind even amongst their own struggles. That’s why I wish more than anything that everyone can get pregnant and stay pregnant. There’s got to be some goodness that comes out of all this 💖

Congratulations! I was just looking at my very first post on here as I was worried about my low AMH levels and you reached out. I noticed at that point you mentioned you were waiting to do a pregnancy test and wow it’s twins!! Amazing news all the best for your pregnancy xxx
I remember! It was about 4 months ago. Thanks I’m starting to feel quite large and uncomfortable now. Had the 20 week scan on Monday. We’ve been truly blessed with a boy and a girl although the girl is measuring smaller so they want me in for another scan in 2 weeks to keep an eye on her growth. The anxiety never goes!!
How are you getting on? I saw your having treatment at St Mary’s? I don’t live that far from Manchester. Do you know when you will be starting again? Xxxx
Awwwh how lovely one of each! I could be wrong but I am sure they see 1 smaller twin a lot but good to hear they are monitoring but her brother will be looking after her too 😍 I bet you look fab but yes I am sure with 2 on board that would be getting uncomfortable.
Well due to covid our appointment got cancelled in March where we would have found out the treatment we were having but thankfully they made contact when up and running and I am just waiting for period to kick in so I can request treatment. We have the meds. Must admit I am scared but excited that soon it will be starting xxx
I pray your period arrives soon so you can get started. It is a mixture of emotions. I felt like that scared and excited at the same time. The best thing you can do is keep in a positive mind set. It makes the whole process that much easier. I will be rooting for you. What Meds have they given you?
Me too!! It’s been weird as we have been ttc whilst waiting for the treatment to start so one mine I am wishing for it to start and the next I am hoping it doesn’t. Yes and it’s really helped seeing stories like yours meaning there is definitely hope.
The meds they have given me is menopur 300mg citrotide 0.25mg and cyclogest and gonasi 5000 units. You had any of these? Yes my AMH is 6.8 when it was tested last year. I did have other blood recently as it had been a while since my last one so I probably could ask if that’s changed.
