I hope all of you are keeping well in these extremely difficult times. I went through a 7th egg collection 2.5 weeks ago on the last day before the lockdown. I guess I was lucky my cycle wasn't cancelled, but I was wondering whether to cancel it myself, given the sanitary concerns.
Eventually, the results from the lab after PGS testing came in this morning. Out of 5 embryos, 3 came back as PGS normal, which is mindblowing news and was completely unexpected. So far, our cycles returned either no normal embryos or just one. On top of everything, I recently turned 43 so I had no expectations.
We now have a total of 6 PGS normal embryos. We will now wait to see if the Coronavirus urgency calms down before proceeding to a transfer.

Yes! It makes it look like age isn't that important of a factor at the end of the day. 43 brought way better results than 42! Keeping fingers crossed for you.
Great news, fingers crossed one of more of these take when you do the transfer 🤞
Wow this is amazing news!! So pleased for you. You must be over the moon! Wishing you lots of luck for your transfer (and hoping you don’t have to wait too long!) xxx
Not really, I quit my job a month before so I was definitely less under stress, apart from that I kept on taking the same supplements over 3 months, with a slightly higher dose of vitamin D and a lower dose of DHEA (dosages were adjusted after taking blood tests and talking to a fertility nutritionist). Apart from that, this egg collection looked very similar to the 2 previous ones: same number of eggs, more or less same number of embryos. I even had 3 collections that yielded more, higher quality embryos than this one, and they only resulted in zero or one normal PGS embryo.
I dont know how embryos are yielded because when someone tells me that it's a top quality embryo I would expect it to be a perfect embryo and PGS normal but alot of the mc that I've read, the ladies had top quality embryos transferred including me and ended in a mc. However, my sister had a grade b embryo transferred and she recently gave birth to health baby boy. I really pray your embryos stick xx
Hi I wonder if you can help me please as I am in a similar situation than you. I am looking to buy DHEA but I know it’s very difficult to buy in the UK. Can you please let me know where your got yours from and what the brand was? Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.
I bought them from this site: dhea-uk.com/home.php, the Micron5 DHEA 25mg one. This site was recommended to me by my nutritionist. You do not need a prescription for this.
Usually clinics start by prescribing 3 a day. DHEA can have secondary effects like acne, hair loss etc...it's best to be followed by a clinic, GP or nutritionist when taking it. My nutritionist would have me do some blood tests a few weeks after starting a course of DHEA to measure my testosterone and DHEA levels. If those levels get higher than the normal range, then you need to decrease the amount to 1 or 2 a day, or maybe even stop. This may also mean that you perhaps don't need that much DHEA because your testosterone levels are already on the higher end to start with. I did experience secondary effects when taking 3 a day over 6 weeks including: sudden severe acne, hair becoming brittle/having lots of baby hair and the worst one was that I suddenly produced 31 eggs at an egg collection, but the egg quality ended up being not as good as for my other rounds. I then switched to 1 a day and got my best results with very limited side effects.
