Ladies I want to go back for frozen transfer but the doctor is saying to wait another month. My baby will be 7 months and a week. Has anyone else been told what they can and can’t do like that?

Congratulations on your little one. I can understand your keenness to get going again. That would be me! We all know how long these things can take!

These doctors always seem to say to wait (regardless of the question!). I'm not exactly sure what for if you're feeling fine! I don't actually know much about how long it's recommended to wait after having a baby (naturally or IVF) but if there's no specific reason to continue waiting.... Good luck for your next round when it gets going! Would totally back challenging the doctor on the waiting thing.

I've heard that if you have a child within 2 years of having an older one then you have a higher chance of having a child with autism or something like that. Don't know how reliable that is and didn't pay too much attention to it as I know quite a few people who had several children in quick succession without any autism. But maybe it's an issue.

He has said it’s absolutely nothing to do with the baby, treatment or pregnancy. Just to do with my health, he couldn’t explain properly so probs just advice xx

I think it’s only advice and acts as a recommendation. The choice is probably yours...x

Hi. There could be some reasons.

Did you have a c-section or natural birth? If c-section, they recommend 2 years wait (my doctor said we can try in 1 year due to age). Even if natural birth, there would be still some time needed for the body to heal (including on the inside, uterus to be back in place, etc) and hormones to go back to normal.

Are you breastfeeding or have you done it? If yes, some time is needed for body and hormones to go back to normal.

Covid 19 threat? There could be worries that you could become infected or restrictions may be put in place which would interrupt the treatment (free circulation ban, no availability of certain treatments, etc).

Not what you're looking for?
