What symptoms did you have after EC?

I've only had one prior EC but developed bad ohss thereafter. I didn't bleed or have cramps after my last EC but I had a terrible full feeling and could barely move by the end.

Today's EC, less eggs but I have spotted. I'm really worried om getting OHSS again but not sure if I'm just feeling completely normal symptoms after EC. At the moment I'm feeling sore down below, uncomfortable to sit and my lower abdomen is distended. Not sure if this is just swelling or internal bruising from all that prodding around down there. I'm taking paracetamol but it's still hurting. Not like period pain.

Please someone tell me this is normal and not the start of OHSS again. X

Hey Jessy, I don’t know about normal or OHSS but I totally understand your worry. The day of my ER I was really uncomfortable and felt bruised. I felt better the day after and it wasn’t until about day 3 after ER that I started to get OHSS symptoms. My gut is saying that a little bleeding and pain would be a normal reaction to the ER and not a sign of OHSS. If you don’t feel a bit better in the morning perhaps phone your clinic. Try not to worry if you can, drink lots and eat lots of protein and look after yourself. Xxx
