3rhird time lucky
Hello hun. I have already had 3 transfers. 1st - IVF+OE - fresh - negative, 2nd - ICSI+DE - fresh (2 embryos) - negative, 3rd - ICSI+DE - frozen (1 embryo) -positive. Unfortunately, due to the health issues, I miscarried on the 7th week so that is why I proceeded with surrogacy. Now I am waiting for they find a surrogate for me.
I can't give you any advice as each case is particular so I can only wish you the best of luck in your journey and never lose your hope!
Hi there, I transferred two on one of my rounds after only consenting to 1. It was a frozen transfer and we decided at last minute to put two back in. I was successful and got a positive but sadly miscarried at 11 weeks.
Wishing you all the best in your decision x
Sounds like you have good strong frosties so fingers crossed for you next week. 🤞
The chances are the same for each embryo transferred, it all depends whether you want to wait between transfers and if you're okay with the idea of having twins.
I'm on my first FET 5dp3dt. I opted for a double.
There is lots to consider..how many frozen embryos you have...your age, the grading of the embryos..how you feel about multiples and the additional risks. I was 34 at the time of egg collection and got 4 blastocysts. I was advised to transfer just one embryo in our first and second attempt as they were graded A and B. Our grade A split into twins which I lost at 9w, grade B was a BFN and our final 2 were grade C so I had both transferred on the advice of my consultant/embryology. We think they both implanted but I had a large bleed at 5w and am now 12w with a single baby. Good luck in deciding x
Hello!
I have been third time lucky, currently 10 weeks and so far all going well 🤞
First fresh transfer ended in miscarriage, second go with one frozen embryo resulted in negative. On this third go, I had two frozen embryos transferred and got a positive.
Obviously there are no guarantees, but it worked for me, so thought I’d share my experience. Good luck to you! X
I’m at exactly the same stage as you. One fresh and one frozen both negative. Currently doing another FET. All day 5 good embryos.
Im nhs and was offered some choices. Do another FET with one embryo, do another with two embryos or pay to have ERA/Alice/Emma tests done to see if we could figure out a reason for implantation failing. I’m going to a straight forward FET with one embryo as I have 7 left.
It probably depends on how many you have left and what they think the reason for them not implanting could be??
It’s a hard decision, at first I wanted to have tests done as couldn’t face another negative but then I changed my mind and though I’d give it one last shot x
