Hi, has anyone else had the appearance of the linea nigra (line from belly button to pelvis) a few months after a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy? My first round of ivf resulted in an ectopic which was in March this year and last week I have had a line appear between my belly button and pelvis which from googling I understand is called the linea nigra, very common in the second and third trimester of pregnancy. I’ve been to the drs today and she said it’s nothing to worry about and that it’s appeared because I was pregnant. I’ve never heard of anyone else having this appear a few months after a failed pregnancy so wondered if anyone could offer me any further advice? Thank you! 😊

Most of my family are olive skinned and all get linea nigra during pregnancy. It goes after a few months. I guess miscarriages affect hormones - some people get the butterfly affect on their faces too xx
Thank you. I am olive skinned. I just found it strange that it took 2 months to appear after I had my op to remove the pregnancy. Thank you for your help.
I've been searching the web for this! I had Laparoscopy for an ectopic two weeks ago. I was 6 weeks. I noticed the line tonight and was confused. Good to know I'm not crazy and seeing things.
