Hey everyone I posted a while ago as me an my husband were struggling to conceive we’ve now been passed to a fertility specialist an had several test done my husbands sperm counts are coming back 0 I’ve had several test and every thing seems fine I’ve had a internal ultrasound and there’s no problems- although I was told today that my BMI needs to be below 30 before they will carry out any treatment I’m upset but I know it’s my own fault I just got my hopes up thinking is become a mummy sooner rather than later anyone else had similar x

Aww it’s heartbreaking, all my friends are having baby’s it’s upsetting but then I think yay it will be me soon 💗 My husband is in a worser situation than me he feels low an fed up he said this is all his fault if I was with someone that had a normal sperm count I wouldn’t be going through all this but we’re in it together an no matter what one day you’ll become a mummy 💗💗

I was in the same situation. Had a BMI of 30 now down the 25. I joined slimming world to have accountability. I’m not a fan of the diet industry and I know slimming world, like the others, is a fancy way of doing calorie deficit designed to get money from their clients but as an emotional eater, the stress of infertility was causing me to eat dysfunctionally.

I now have a PT that I work with and count my calories daily with my fitness pal app to keep track, make sure I maintain where I’m at and get enough protein (eat as much protein as possible to maintain muscle mass and lose fat). I find that in the chaos of IVF so little is within our control that this is one of the few things I can do something about. The motivation of potentially having a child was all i needed. If you find you’ve eaten something unhealthy, don’t beat yourselves up, just look to the future and focus on what you can do today to take a step towards your dreams. One day/meal/hour/minute at a time. If you’re on Instagram sarahdufflifestyleandfitness is a great person to follow. She works on mental health as well as exercise and food.
