6 eggs 🥚

I had 6 eggs collected today and now I’m waiting for the nurse to call tomorrow to see how many have fertilised. I feel so down ;( I’m only 25 with an amh of 36.4 so thought I’d have way more eggs

Hi Sashaxo. Oh try not to feel too down about this, as hopefully they will be of good quality and will fertilise. Some ladies get 20 eggs and end up with a couple! Make sure you have a good rest and drink plenty of water. Thinking of you and keeping everything crossed. Diane

Appreciate it. Yeah that’s what I’m hoping, they said that the sperm was good so I’m hoping that I have a few that are good quality just to have some over and freeze. How did you feel after the oessaries I feel really sick 🤢 xx

I was in my early 30s when I had ivf and ended up with 4 eggs. I'm now a mummy to a one year old with another baby on the way (this one conceived naturally).

You have youth on your side as your eggs are likely to be healthier. And like so many people say, it only takes one. So don't feel down!

Thank you, made me feel so much better already. It’s nice to hear from other people who have been through it it puts your mind at ease. I’m just so nervous for the call tomorrow I just pray they fertilise and make it to day 5 🥚🥚🥚

I'm sure you'll end up with at least a few decent blastocysts! In the end, only 2 of mine got to blastocyst stage but here I am... a mummy to a beautiful boy! It only takes one

Is blastocyst 5 days I’m never going to be able to sleep tonight I’ve asked my boyfriend to answer the phone cause I cant. Congratulations by the way ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks. And yes I think generally if the embryo develops to 5 days it's a blastocyst, but I've heard people say they had 6 day blastos. So it's a stage of development that generally takes around 5 days.

6 is good! Focus on the positives not the negatives or numbers of this otherwise it will drag you down. Of your 6 every one of them might be fantastic quality and get to blastocyst stage you never know. Have faith in those little eggs/embryos

They called me this morning to say 4 have fertilised so I’m over the moon. When will they get graded now x

For me I wasn’t told until after the transfer but they should call to tell you how well they are progressing every day

We only had 4 eggs retrieved and I was absolutely devestated. I’m only 30 and have unexplained secondary infertility. 2 fertilised and the both made it to Blasto but only one was top quality. Had thatone put back in and am now 10dp5dt and had my bfp this morning (a day early.)

Keep the positivity, it is the hardest part of IVF by far xx

Congratulations!!!!! I’ve been up all night having the worst dreams, that I had emails and calls to say I had no eggs. Then they called this morning I had to get my boyfriend to answer and they said they injected 5 and 4 fertilised !!!!!! I’m so happy they’re going to ring back Thursday now to say whether it’s ET on thurs or sat
