Sperm retrieval

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting and just looking for anyone with experience with sperm retrieval..

My husband goes in for this on the 24th of January and I'm so frighted that we are not going to get the outcome we so desire for.

I'm scared that our story will be over before it started.

Hi there, we are also due to have ssr towards the end of this month.

We have previously had this about 2 years ago and hubby was given a general anathsetic and was in or for about an hour. We were told as soon as he was awake enough the results and we were able to get 4 straws to freeze.

We are now on a fresh icsi cycle so he will be having another ssr.

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm terrified that it won't be successful. I'm also starting a new job that week and my husband has to travel to Aberdeen for the op as we live in the highlands and there is no facilities here for it. Due to my new job, i am unable to go with him, which is breaking my heart! My emotions are all over the place. Would do anything for this to work for us. My fingers are crossed for you both too.

Good luck, just tell him to make sure to rest afterwards and not do too much as my hubby found he was uncomfortable afterwards for around 2 weeks.

Yeah no problem, we should be due ec and ssr at the end of the month so not long after you.

As we unfortunately had a failed fet last year we are going for a fresh round this year with the sperm and egg being collected on same day. Will be a fun evening after we've both had a general anathsetic lol.xx
