Headache 🤯

Hi ladies, I had FET done today and I have A terrible headache. Literally feel like I want to throw up from the pain in my head. Does anyone know if its ok to use the 4head stick?

I can’t imagine the 4head stick would do any harm but then again I’m no expert! Can you take a couple of paracetamol? It might be a stress/tension headache in which case you might be better to try go to sleep for a while.

How did the transfer itself go? Xx

Hi Dunla, the transfer went well. Have 2 little ones on board so now its just to et through the dreaded 2 weeks.

Thanks, I have actually just got into bed and hopefully I can fall asleep. It could very well be a tension headache. How are you getting on?

Hopefully a good sleep will shift your headache. Sometimes there’s nothing else for it.

I’m grand. No further treatment on the horizon at the moment. Some days I wish I could just get going again and other days I think I really couldn’t face it! Feeling at a bit of a loss 😕 xx

I know exactly how you feel, I was feeling exactly the same. I think in a way I had kinda given up. My friends sister is a homeopath that specialises in fertility but I never bothered going to her until she begged me to let her just try. She did whatever she needed to do, im not too phased really, just took what I was told to take and had endless amounts of blood taken and when she felt I was ready she pushed me to have a transfer done. So here I am... will it work? I have no idea...

All I can do right now is cross fingers and toes and just take one day at a time through this dreadful 2ww.

Look after yourself and you will know when you ready to tackle it again. I often wonder how you getting along because we both had our last transfers done the same time. Take care of yourself xxxx

The 4head stick is fine. So is paracetamol (honestly!) you can also try heat; a hot flannel or a hot water bottle rested on your head. Remember to drink plenty of fluids, at least 2 litres a day. Hope you’re feeling better xx

Thank you so much. I read your reply last night but just felt too ill to reply. I took your advice, I put 4head stick on my temple and down the back of my neck and put a hot water bottle on it. I finally managed to fall asleep around 4am for about 2 hours and I am feeling much much better. Thank you so much xxxxx

Hi JCJM. I had a FET last Friday with 2 embies as well. Around afternoon a terrible headache I tought my head will explode. Continued until late evening when I think my body couldn't take it and ended up vomiting severely . I measured my blood pressure and it was very low (98/55). So I believe could have been the blood pressure. Hope you are better now. Xx

Thank you so much for your reply Rbox, now that you say that I wonder if it was my blood pressure because I got up to go to the loo and I felt like I was going to faint. I was so nauseas and I had bad fevers, my body was shaking. It was dreadful! I used the 4head stick and hot water bottle and it really helped. I managed to get about two hours sleep last night but at least I am feeling so much better.

I stopped going for accupuncture because im such a ninny and the needles were stressing me 🤣. I know, after all the needles we have to endure on this journey you would think the tiny ones they use for accupuncture is no big deal and it completely stressed me out 🤦🏻‍♀️

a headache can be annoying especially when you are trying to calm down after ET. i remember i had bad migraines during my 1st cycle and was told to be careful on these painkillers especially those with asprin. i would suggest lots of water and some rest. otherwise talk to your Dr. Goodluck with the 2ww. xxx

Thanks so much! I am feeling so much better today. I just used the 4head stick and hot water bottle and feel so much better today. It was a long painful night. I will probably spend most of the afternoon on the couch catching up on sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Yes the 4head stick is fine. You might also want to try applying heat to your neck area, like a warm hot water bottle. Other than that I recommend rest xx
