Worried
Hi Lisamarie
Yes, I can relate. Got my bfp last Tuesday and awoke to discharge yesterday morning. It was explained to me that it is likely to be the implantation bleeding right up to 6/7 weeks. Don't worry but get in touch if it continues after 2 or 3 days or if you have pain or enough blood to fill a pad in an hour.
All EPU would be able to do is take your hsg then ask you to come back in 2 days to check again. There is nothing to see on a scan until your hsg is over 1500. So then they would have to do an internal scan which is not ideal.
Hopefully you don't need to get in touch again.
Mine seems to have stopped so far. I have seen loads of posts of women who have various different bleeds and all is ok. Look at Jess' post from earlier for one example. Lots of love and hugs xx
You poor thing. I’m sure this is very distressing for you. Hoping that all will be ok. Sending you love xx
I was in the same situation myself last year & it was an awful wait around- my bleeding was gushing & was doubled over in pain so deep down knew we lost the baby. Unfortunately they can’t detect the embryo until 6 weeks & if you scan earlier they might not be able see anything & could cause you more unnecessary stress.
If it is only spotting- ie only when you wipe & isnt filling a pad every hour or so & if you have no severe abdominal pain then try not to worry. The midwife told me it’s only if it’s heavy bleeding & lots of abdominal pain should it be a concern . I’m 10.5 weeks pregnant & have had various spotting including fresh blood with clots this pregnancy & baby is completely fine.
Rest up like bed rest until the bleeding subsides.
Good luck with your scan hope it can reassure you xoxo 😘
