Fet eventually underway 😬

After having my fet delayed for the past 2 months, I have now had my down reg injection and due back for a scan in 2 weeks 😬

Anyone else just starting their journey?

Hi,

I'm also having medicated FET but started on Estrodial last Thursday. I have a scan booked for 3rd Sept to check lining, if all is well then clinic will thaw my 3 embryos. Praying that at least 1 survives the thaw process.

Hi

I was also worried about the thawing process but my clinic said it’s quite uncommon to have problems thawing, it doesn’t stop u worrying tho.

I know, I don't think anything could stop me from worrying. The clinic said that generally 60-70% of embryos thaw with no issues so hoping I get at least the 1, if 2 thaw Ok, clinic have advised a double transfer. I've just got to keep myself occupied until I know more next week

I had my prostap injection two weeks ago, no period yet. Got my second appointment in two days. So scared, excited, emotional. Fingers crossed for you.

I had my prostap injection nearly two weeks ago too, got my lining scan on Friday to see how everything is doing but I'm not convinced it's worked.

Last night I had a some discharge (sorry, tmi) that's exactly the same as when I ovulate and yesterday would have been day 14 of my 'normal' cycle so now I have it in my head I've ovulated and the drugs haven't worked...I'm honestly driving myself mad - you're so right about feeling every twinge, I'm sure I feel like I'm about to ovulate, get my period and menopausal all at the same time, ha!

I know what u mean about the discharge 😢 hope it’s not that and it has worked.

The nurse said to me yesterday sometimes it takes a bit longer to work but am sure it will all become clear on ur scan. It’s just so hard not to worry xx

Yeah am doing medicated.

I had an injection yesterday, once I’ve been scanned in 2 weeks and all is well I start tablets then pessary. Sorry not sure of the actual names as my plan is in the house xx

Do u have a date to start yet?

I was the same till yesterday, wasn’t too sure what to expect but doesn’t sound too bad at all. They say u can get tired and headaches with the meds other than that don’t think there is many side effects. Good luck xx

Well I was meant to do a natural one this month and that's been cancelled as I haven't ovulated or even got an LH surge, probs cos my egg collection was on beginning of July, so I'm going to see if my hormones are back to normal this month and if not I'll ask for the medicated, I'm just nervous cos it's more of a mix of hormones it will mess with me more as felt rubbish last week, but then again I can't just wait months and months as that's messing with my head haha. Yeh the nurse said it's the same hormones but just controls your cycle, so after this injection do you have a period in a few weeks? xxx

Aww I see!! Well fingers crossed u get something sorted. The waiting is awful.

U normally get the injection on day 21 of your cycle then call the clinic when u get a bleed but I ended up in hospital with a urine infection the day before my day 21 injection so called the clinic again when I had my period. They said I could get given the injection between day 1-3 of my period rather than wait till day 21 again. They said I could get a bleed due to the injection but said not to call them and just go back in 2 weeks for a scan. Hope that makes sense lol xx

Yeh Def makes sense, I think I'll probably do this in October then, the waiting is horrible you even plan and think so if it works baby will born in ....month, I think you just have to be prepared for the whole journey not to go to plan and try not to think about it as much xxxxx
