Amenorrhea causes?

Hi everyone, I have had amenorrhea for 7 years and am undergoing IVF. At first the doctors thought it was PCOS but I didn't respond to Clomid so I was eventually diagnosed with hypothalamic amenorrhea. However, my new fertility specialist has said he doesn't think it related to my hypothalamus as I respond well to a Buserelin injection, and he doesn't think I have PCOS having done a scan. So what could be causing my amenorrhea? I have secondary hypothyoridism but have been taking treatment for 14 months with no resumption of ovulation.

Has anyone else experienced this and found the primary cause? I dont know what to do now!
