PCOS and fertility: I have ben trying... - Fertility Network UK
PCOS and fertility
Four months isn’t very long at all, if you don’t think your ovulating perhaps you should chat to your GP they may refer you to the fertility clinic and put you on clomid.
It’s a tough one as I see that you are 41 and it’s hard to wait when you decide that you want to start trying. I assume you’ve already had some hormone tests which is where the PCOS diagnosis came from. Are your periods regular? If not- metformin might be helpful for you. You could try some home ovulation kits to see if you are ovulating each cycle. Depending on your area, you might be limited for NHS choices as a lot of the CCGs don’t offer IVF to women over 40. Four months of trying is still early- maybe wait til 6-9months?
I think the nhs advise 6 months.. I’m not 100% sure on that. Have you spoken to your gp?
I'm sorry you're facing this. But I suppose you have to wait longer. Sadly enough there are not so many compassionate people around nowadays. but it's really awful when they are among fertility experts..It's sad, honey. Keep on moving forward and currently try looking for some good professional to consult. My positive vibes going your way xx
