Any hope?

Hi,

I'm new here, so just getting used to how the website works etc.

Here is an overview of what me and my fiancé have done/been through with regards to fertility treatment.

Me and my fiancé have been trying to conceive for 6 years, after about 1 year of trying and nothing happening we decided to go and seek medical advice. We found out from various invasive tests that I have PCOS and my fiancé has low sperm count and motility.

Following many discussions about our options to become parents, we opted for the IVF route. In August 2016 we had our first cycle of IVF, a fresh cycle... I was extremely poorly and was admitted to hospital. Following the admission I got better and went ahead with the fresh transfer. Unfortunately this didn't work.

8 months on... we had a frozen IVF cycle, we had 2 embryos transferred and unfortunately that failed too.

So late last year we had our third and final IVF round (due to embryos running out)... Unfortunately that didn't work either. So since all 3 of these attempts failed, we are feeling very deflated and utterly devastated that it seems impossible for us to ever have our own little family.

With us both having problems too, it seems so much tougher.

So my question really is.... is there any hope for us? Anything that people have tried/confirmed that works, please message me with your ideas/products!

Private messages are preferable.

Thanks everyone 😊

Hi.

Just clarifying. Have you had one round of stimulation which resulted in one fresh and two frozen transfers? A lot of CCG funding criteria would count that as 1 round. Do you know what you're entitled to in your area?

Yes one round of stims which resulted in the fresh and 2 Frozen transfers. With NHS we are entitled to 2 free full rounds of IVF. We aren't planning on using the second full round just yet....Maybe in a few years. But in the meantime we will do what we can to attempt to conceive naturally.

I'd like to think there is hope. The majority of people don't get anything to freeze so the fact you got three transfers out of one cycle is positive to me. Good luck. X
