Sounds like you’ve got yourself a good one there...& there’s not many of them in the world! You can see how this journey changes people but what I’ve found so rewarding throughout is seeing how boyfriends/husbands/partners cope and in both our cases really step up to the mark. I thought I fell in love years back with my OH but it’s nothing on the scale compared to how I’ve seen him throughout not only this journey but how he copes with me battling endometriosis daily too. Never once have I seen him flustered...I’ve curled up in a ball crying uncontrollably, I screamed at him, I’ve thrown a bottle of fairy liquid at him, I’ve begged him to go and find someone young who can give him kids, and in the darkest moments I’ve battled to try and promise him I will live on and won’t leave him behind, there has been no hiding place and he’s the only person in life who has seen it all and is still there unflustered, it’s so amazing through such difficult times love can still grow, especially when we have all those doubts of why our OH’s are still even with us sometimes! They’re total rocks and for that I think we’ll pack up a slice of cake next week with Mr Emu’s name on it, & my OH too, they deserve it! (And we deserve the other 8 slices obviously!!! 🤣🍰😘
