I had a BFN after a cycle of IVF a fortnight ago and I've had my first bleed since. At EC they found small endometriomas in each ovary and I'm starting to feel some symptoms creeping back in.
I've already had two lengthy excision surgeries to date and dread the thought of any more.
Has anyone had reoccurring endo after failed IVF? Was anything done to treat it before your next cycle?
Thanks

Hi discobec - I can't answer your question, but I can share a similar experience.
I had a failed IVF cycle in Nov (failed fertilisation). During egg collection, they found a small endometrioma on my left ovary and they ended up draining it and giving my some antibiotics. However, since then, I have had painful ovulation as well as painful cramping at the beginning of each period.
A few other IVF/endo ladies I know have said that they had the same thing, and their consultants told them that it was most likely to do with the hormones that are still floating around our bodies and that it does get better; though I am still waiting for the 'better'! I'm currently in the process of starting ivf 2, and praying that they don't pick up on any endometriomas during my baseline scan in 3 weeks!
I'm trying hard to stay positive, but I had such a rough time with endo last year before my second surgery, the thought of going back to that sends me over the edge! I've even considered asking about an egg donor if IVF is going to cause my endo to return in the same way.
