We were first in contact with the NHS well over a year ago.they say we are now on the list and a letter will come in within 4-6 months. How long have people been from first contact with the NHS to actually starting ivf? It feels like forever?

Hi Claire, have you had all your tests done prior to being referred for IVF? Just to give you an idea of time-scales either way our first appointment at our local hospital before we had any tests done was April 2016 after completing all the tests (unexplained infertility diagnosed) we were referred for IVF in I think late April 2017 and had our first appointment at The Women's Hospital in June 2017 which was the group info session and then 2 weeks later we had our consent signing appointment and then we started our first round in August. Waiting times can depend on the hospital your under though wishing you lots of luck xxx
