After receiving amazing news before Christmas that our one and only round of NHS funded IVF has worked today my life has came crashing down.
My clinic took a HCG blood test which has showed my levels have dropped and I have infact lost our baby.
Truly heartbroken and don’t know which way to turn and go from here.
Our follow up appointment is booked for 2nd February which just seems so far away.

This has happened to us over xmas as well. She had a blood test on Wednesday and her levels were only 2. Had another one today but not holding out much hope. She is in a state, shaking , crying feeling sick. It’s heartbreaking. Sending hugs to you xxxx

Thankyou my darling. I know exactly how you are feeling but as I said to my daughter there is nothing can be said to make you feel better. It’s only time that can do this and the support of family and friends which thankfully is in abundance xxxx

I am so sorry for your terrible loss. So heartbreaking to have received this devastating news. Perhaps it’s best your review appointment is a 4/5 weeks away. Perhaps it will give you the space you need to grieve. I liked to wait a while after failed cycles as I felt I would be too tearful speaking to consultant and wanted to have a clear head to get the most from the appointment. Otherwise your clinic might keep you in mind for a cancellation if you are eager to meet with them sooner. Take good care of yourself and sending you love xx
I was in the same situation in September although I had paid privately. I’m actually very anxious for my ET tomorrow (I have three frozen embies). Have a chat with the clinic, email Diane Arnold for some questions you can ask. Then depending on your age start to think about when you can go again. Praying for BFP in 2018. All the best x

IVF can fail unexpectedly. There is no reason even sometimes.Same happened to me. Any update on what happened next? What happened to the follow-up appointment? I am glad I went to a clinic that offered multiple IVF in the same money. It was such a relief. I knew that financially I will still be strong. That made the whole difference trust me. Stress plays an important part in IVF cycle. I failed my first cycle because my body reacted differently to the transfer. I am glad the second time everything went well. You should also look for a clinic like mine. If you haven't started any other procedure yet. I will be glad to hear from you.
