Trigger shot took too early

Hi ladies, I’ve been reading everyones posts for the past couple of months but this will be my first. I have PCOS and this is our first cycle of IVF.

I’m due for egg collection tomorrow morning. For some unknown reason last night I was convinced I should take my trigger Ovitrelle at 9pm - I was wrong - it should have been taken at 9.30pm!!! I have been up for most of the night worried sick that I’ve messed this up.

I’m due to go in tomorrow at 8.30am with collection at 9.30am so needless to say I will be arriving as early as possible and in the meantime have attempted to contact the on call nurse.

Has anyone been in this situation? I cannot believe I managed to mess up and was hoping for other people’s experiences with the 36 hours and collection.

Hi I took mine once ten minutes earlier and panicked, I rang the hospital and they were fine about it.

Hi I took my trigger at the time given - 11.30pm and arrived at the clinic at my given time expecting to be in theatre at 11.30 well 11.30 came and went and I was still sat waiting to be called...... this makes me think that exact timings don’t really matter all that much! Xx

I wouldn't worry too much - 30 mins shouldn't make a difference. I was in at the clinic for 8am. They said I'd be home by the afternoon but I didn't go in until 1pm! Egg collection went well and I left the hospital at 4:30 in the end. Best of luck for u tomorrow xxx

Try not to worry, they can adjust the times if needed but I don’t think half hr will make to much different. They ask when you arrive what time you took it, lots of luck x
