To jog or not to jog

Hi everyone

I know this issue doesn’t seem to be very topical and important, but honestly it has affected me so much.

I would describe myself as very active and before ttc, I used to exercise three to four times a week. Unfortunately since we started I have not been as active and this has a double affect as exercise calms me and is great for my mood. I have put on a couple of kilos since as well.

I wonder if any of you had this slight dilemma and if so how did you deal with it?

One of the fertility booked I have advised against running when TTC as it can impose unnecessary stress on the body maybe try going for a walk or swimming instead? More gentle exercise is preferable I think x

Thanks Shanks, I have been doing lots of walking. I just read your story and I found it so inspiring. I hope you’re doing well. I don’t know about gradings , we have 4 frozen embies but none top quality. I hope they survive the thaw.

I have been doing slower paced 5kms since trying to conceive. The only time I stop running is in the 2ww. Having asked plenty of healthcare professionals, no one is able to give a definitive answer so I figure half an hours run at a reasonably slow pace will keep me from going crazy, keep my blood circulating and my heart healthy which can only be a good thing. I usually go around 2-3 times a week. Do what you feel is right for your body. X

Hi 7Ava

I also used to exercise as normal in the first two weeks of each cycle. I think doing a lighter version is a great idea.
