Waiting..

I have no idea I'm meant to wait before testing. Ivery been having ovulation induction treatment, and I ovulated sometime between Friday the 1st (10 days ago) and Saturday the 2nd (9 days ago) not sure how long I'm meant to wait before doing a pregnancy test as I don't have a natural cycle so won't even know if I miss a period.. it hasn't bothered me waiting around so far but don't know when otd should be?? Anyone have any ideas? Should I go by two weeks? I know tests say they can detect from 5 - even 6, days early.

On a normal cycle your period would be 2 weeks after ovulation so I would suggest testing then. I'm sure your GP/clinic wouldn't mind you phoning them just to check though.

I was fine waiting until yesterday and then I was like I want to test now!! Haha. It's okay.. I'm gunna hold out until Friday. I jinks it's because I know the tests are sat in my cupboard haha.

5-6 days is too early. Even a beta needs to be done around 8 days. For HPT it's best to wait till 12 days for accurate result. In some women BFP shows up as early as 10 days, but if it's a BFN on 10th day one must recheck in a couple of days. So its best to wait till 12dpo.

Yeah I've decided to test tomorrow as today isn't a good day so don't 2ant to make it 2orae if it's negative haha

I don't think a lucky day will matter much unless your DPO is around 12-15. That's when implantation happens and the HCG gets to the mlU. It's like, no matter the rate, HCG production in a woman in case of a BFP will reach that level when they miss their AF. Wish you luck for a positive outcome!

Thanks you, however it was negative and AF arrived Sunday afternoon. That was 15 - 16 days after ovulation. Necermind, I shall try again next time x

Oh, dear! I'm so sorry to hear about your BFN. It just feels so unfair, after all the early signals. Been through it to know that it's a new type of hell and costly too. Was it a FET? It's good though that you're looking forward to your next cycle. Wish you luck!

Sorry for the delayed reply, been distracting ourselves haha. No im having ovulation induction, so i still use gonal f, except i i ject every day and have a scan ever few days tgen if/when i have one or two follicles i have the ovitrelle trigger shot and then timed intercourse. Not many people have this form of treatment thogh, my clinic said theyhave maybe one or two people a month maximum x

That sounds like much more trouble than my case. Though I consider my case isn't completely figured out yet either- the stupid "unexplained infertility". Don't worry everything will be alright in the end. Well, I still believe in the happy ending. Wish you luck!

I personally think unexplained is more complicated/stressful as there is less treatment available and no reason for it
