So now starts the frantic googling of follicles. In my consultation he told me the number of follicles i have, with only 4 on the left ovary

Has anyone had low numbers and it been okay? x

Hi lauren3189. Not the best count, but perhaps with continued stimulation you will get them to a decent size to use - fingers crossed! It can be done, so I really wish you well with it, and hopefully you will get a few eggs to fertilise. diane

He said there was 11 on the right so i don;t know if this is any better?

Are you stuck with the follicles you have or can others appear?

I was very upset Diane as he kept emphasising the low reserve due to the left. Do you think this stands a better chance?

Hi I had my app few days ago and I had only 1 on the left and 15 on the right I was stressed to so I understand we're your coming from I went in yesterday for another scan and there was 5 on left and still 15 on right dr seemed happy about it so don't stress.as long as there growing and can be used is the main thing x

Thanks for your message this is what confuses me. Are the 5 on the left ones that have appeared or were they always there but too small to be seen? x

My initial scan before injections started were very small and left the appointment feeling down as dr said wasn't expecting this from a 27 year old ovaries etc but since medication all been going to plan so don't worry at all

And yes I only had 1 on left n now have 5 which is still low but ok cos right side is ok

Hi lauren189. You've got 15 follicles in total which is good. the one ovary may be a bit resistant to the drugs used. If this is the case and you need another round, they may try a different protocol to encourage it to co-operate more. They will check your hormone levels again to check, before starting another cycle. Meanwhile you're still on course for this one working out, providing they grow well. Diane.

Thank you they did say they will put me on the higher dose so hope it works. I am hoping that if a cycle got cancelled it wouldn't be classed as a funded cycle

Hi lauren3189. I doubt it will be cancelled. Just remember they learn lots about how you react to the drugs etc during your first go, so trust in them, as they want it to work too. Diane

thank you i just feel he was quite negative towards me. We have major issues with male factors but he said 'we can make more sperm we can;t make more eggs' and then laughed!

do other ladies have similar experiences with consultants. there was 2 in mine. I appreciated their light heartedness but some of the comments upset me
