It is much clearer in person the line stands out clear as day, for some reason when I take a pic it always looks miles fainter. Yeah still light lines but has got a little darker, the first was a real squinter. Preg tests are qualititive not quantitive anyway, I know my friend has only had faint lines and she's 8wk now and hcg at 7wk was over 54k lol. I pray this is my time π xx
Haha π hubby twines at how much I spend on tests lol. I can Definately see pink. This is actually my fourth lol. The lines are much clearer in person, think my phone camera is crap lol. Xx
That's amazing - huge congratulations! We have had 3 failed ICSI, no FET sadly. Did you do anything differently this time round? Any tips? Our issue is male xx
Thankyou π fingers crossed it stays put. I'm so sorry you've gone through such a tough time, it certainly doesn't get easier. Our issue is pcos and mild endometriosus for me and slightly lower than average sperm count for hubby. As it's our last attempt we decided to give it our all so changed quite a few things, not sure which has worked but this was the different things we did....
Started Zita west supplements 3mths before starting treatment, for me I take vitafem, vitafem boost (good for if had recurrent implantation failure or miscarriage) and vitamin D spray. Hubby took vitamen and vitamen boost up-to sample day, I still take mine.
Had an endoscratch the month before starting treatment to make a nice new lining and increase chance of implantation.
Done short protocol this time and lowered stimm amount as I had ohss last times so my body could focus on fewer follicles.
Allowed embryo to develop to 5day blastocyst for increased chance.
Done acupuncture, it's sooo relaxing! Reduced my stress levels and increases blood flow to uterus etc.
Drank pineapple juice for 3days after transfer and ate Brazil nuts each day.
Avoided hot or cold drinks, only had room temp drinks.
I have absolutely no idea what has finally done the trick or if it's pure luck but what I would say is keep strong and sending so much luck to you I know how tough it can be.
I'm not out of the water yet just hoping it sticks around, it's all such a worry. But glad something has finally happened so far. xx
Oh wow flossy85! Amazing news. I'm absolutely thrilled for you- you so deserve this after everything you've been through. Wishing you the best with the pregnancy. Enjoy every moment. πππππ
Aww thanks so much Jess π that's lovely if you to say. Fingers crossed for a nice high beta, I just keep worrying myself with lines not darkening and some brown spotting every now and again. Wish I could enjoy every moment lol we are such worriers xx β€
Thanks that's so helpful. I'm going to ask about the endometrial scratch this time I think.
Why no hot or cold drinks?
I know it's so difficult as there isn't much evidence, but I think if it's not too hard or stressful, or expensive, then it's worth doing for peace of mind that you've tried everything xx
No problem. Anything is worth a try like you say. We thought we would go out all guns blazing this time lol.
I would certainly ask about an endoscratch for your next cycle, it can greatly improve your chances of implantation. Has your clinic never mentioned it to you? It's normally recommend if you've had recurrent implantation failure. It's just like having a smear but a tiny bit of pain for only 10seconds tho and u normally have gas&air. Whole thing is over in 5min. Iv always been told by my clinic to avoid hot drinks or ice cold drinks, hot baths and hot water bottles. Nothing that can overheat or cool your uterus too much after embryo is transferred. Also avoid caffeine.
When you get this far id try anything, if someone said to stand on my head for half hour I'd give it a go lol.
All the best to you, good luck I hope you get your much longed for miracle, sometimes it just takes the right embryo at the right time xxxx β€β€
