Gp request for funding

Our gp has completed a request for funding today in York. Does anyone have any idea of how long we will have to wait for the decision and if approved how long until our clinic will be notified? Thanks

I'm sure mine was instant after and year or more of test and operation, then once the referral was at my chosen clinic was told within 2 weeks I hear but I call them on day 13 as day 14 was bank holiday then was another 2 weeks for my appointment,

I'm in kent so may be different as all NHS/clinics work so differently, good luck on your journey 🍀⭐️🍀 xx

Do you know whay clinic you will be going to? I live near york and the Gp funding only took a matter of days as the form is filled out, sent out & I think unless it's a complicated case the decison is made pretty quickly. I had to wait probably around 4 weeks to have an appt at the clinic once all the tests had been completed as they won't see you before they are done xx

I read that as you lived in New York lol.

I got to choose from 2, I decided on closeness but they was pretty much both the same success rates they are both are fertility,

Hope you don't have to wait too long xx

Hi Lozwol,

Once you know your Clinical Commissioning Group has received your request you can ask them what the current turn around time is - they should be able to give you a current time-scale which can of course change but is accurate on that day - I hope this makes sense. The waiting time differs according to CCG. Your CCG is determined by your GP's postcode but as you say you live in York you probably come under Vale of York CCG so you can call them directly on 01904 555 870.

More information on NHS funding is on our website fertilitynetworkuk.org/for-...

And on the Fertility Fairness website - fertilityfairness.co.uk

Any further questions please give me a call on 01424 732361.

Best wishes,

Hannah
