Transfer didn't hurt at all, my husband and I went for a nandos before lol. You are advised to have a full bladder proior to the appointment. It was over with in less than 10 minutes, like a smear test. Good luck x

I heard only about drinking more liquid after transfer. And I think there isn't special food for that. Just an ordinary balanced diet I think would be great!

transfer is a doddle. Mine didn't hurt at all and very quick. Just rest up after an eat brazil nuts as I heard its good for implantation!

Hi, drink plenty of water and brazil nuts are meant help with implantation. Try and be on a healthy diet for those 2 weeks plenty of protein . ..and don't overdo it, get plenty of rest but keep active . . .good luck x

Transfers easy. I was told empty bladder. Eat what you want before and after although after they advise you to eat as you are pregnant (no unpasteurised cheese or milk, fully cooked meat and eggs, no pate etc etc)

Good luck

Im not going to lie, the 2ww is so frustrating, but I watched loads of TV and I was working which made the time pass a little bearable. I was having between 1-2 litres of water every day, Weetabix for breakfast with a cooked egg. Then lots of fruit in the day with some walnuts and brazil nuts throughout the day. Chicken and salad for lunch, then something in the evening. I did eat the odd pizza and curry too, but as long as its balanced diet, its ok. I took vitamin d & folic acid tablets too. (Make sure all meat is cooked properly and avoid any soft cheese). Other than that keep active but avoid any heavy lifting, light housework only. Good luck, message me if you have any questions.

Hi Del.

My transfer wasn't quite as straight forward as everyone else has commented because they had the wrong length catheter. Saying that it still only took about 25 minutes, didn't hurt (just a bit uncomfortable) & they did lots of fiddling. I'm glad they did what they did though because it ensured the embryo was inserted into the correct place rather than being too low down. They had music on & my hubby was in the room rubbing my shoulder/holding my hand.

Afterwards I had a cup of (decaf) tea. We went for a stroll around a pretty, nearby town & had lunch. I was bricking it when I had my first wee, but as the nurse said "they don't just fall out".

It's really nothing to worry about, just take it easy afterwards x

I had sedation due to my awkwardly small and badly placed cervix, so I don't even remember it! It didn't hurt when I came round though.
