Ok so this is actually starting to get real. We've got our first appointment with a private clinic tomorrow and I really don't know what to expect. I've got low ovarian reserve and my DP has azoospermia.
I think I've been in a state of blissful denial. The more I read the more negative I feel that this just won't happen for us.
There are so many inspirational people on here and I am trying to be optimistic but really can't help but feel defeated before we even start ....
Is this normal? What should I expect ... xx

Look on the bright side, there are people here who have never thought they could have babies, but they have been blessed, look forward to each step of the way, these will soon be memories you'll look back on...
Please try not to worry and try to approach tomorrow with an open mind. Don't give up before you've even started. Good luck for your appointment tomorrow. Hopefully you'll come away with more answers than questions and feel a bit more proactive x
I would look at it positively! You have made the appointment, and taking the steps to find out the best way forward.
I remember that first appointment, thinking they are going to tell me the worst!
If you have had fertility tests? Then take all your results, will save you money and time. Will also enable the consultant discuss these. At my first appointment, I also had an internal scan to check womb and tubes.
Just a quick thanks for the responses. Sorry I was so down. Well the appointment was actually quite positive, informative and realistic. My DP has an appointment with a urologist next week but I feel happier we are in good hands. I've just treated myself to a very small bag of mini eggs as I deserved it lol.

Glad to hear all went well and your in a more positive place I think the ups and downs are part and parcel of the whole fertility journey but you bounced back and it's sounds like things are moving along at least. I'm massively craving easter eggs but I'm trying my best to reduce sugar before I start treatment 😩ill treat myself to something small I need a little something to keep me going 😊xxx
Where are you on the journey? To be honest I've been trying to be good but after the appointment I decided I was entitled to a treat and have has chocolate. I couldn't resist the mini eggs!
We all need our little treats along the way. I'm due to start my 1st ivf cycle and hoping egg collection will be around the 15th may. Good luck with the rest of your tests wishing you all the best xxx

Things are starting to get better.
