Had 1 embryo transferred this morning, the dreaded waiting time can start...
Any advice for dos ans donts? Gynaecologist said to act as pregnant , but doc this morning said to act as normal until pregnancy test (don't have to avoid unpasteurised food etc). What have you been told?
Thks!

hi, I was told avoid vacs, microwaves and washing machines but I think the nurse was joking although OH took it literally so I didn't dispute! We were also told to consider yourself pregnant so avoid heavy lifting etc but within reason to carry on as normal. After all in a 'normal' pregnancy you wouldn't actually know you were pregnant at this stage. In terms of dos i ate brazil nuts and avocado. They say it helps the embryo stick. Who knows whether it's coincidence but I got my BFP today! Good luck for your 2ww!xx
I ll definitely avoid the lifting for a few days! It's more the food I wonder about, no cured meat, unpasteurised cheeses etc - but realistically not pregnant yet anyway so maybe over thinking it ☺️
I was told no hot bath the first night and take it easy the first day and rest.
They told me to eat like I'm pregnant with all the usual things off the list. I also ate pineapple daily as it's supposed to help implantation. Keep hydrated and no swimming for the first 12 weeks.
Thanks Emma! Have been taking it super easy all day, just went for a bite out in the evening with my husband to think about sthg else. Was only a couple of hours, no wine, hope it didn't jeopardise anything.... dont see why but the crazy thoughts are starting 🙀
I was told no housework - what a shame!!! And no heavy lifting. The nurse also said if I was in any doubt whether to do something to not do it. They advised to eat as though pregnant. I took it easier for a few days but they said OK to carry on with normal activities but not to start any new types of exercise during 2ww.
I was a given a list of what not to do and eat from my clinic. Don't take baths, no heavy lifting, drive only for a minimum of 2 hours, then take a break, don't eat anything raw (i.e vegetables, meat etc), avoid unpasteurised cheese, drink plenty of water. Good luck . .wishing you a BFP xx
