So looking into where to go next for cycle 2. Anyone had treatment abroad? I'm specifically looking at Spain.

Have not dir experiences, but know a few ladies who have undergone ivf in Gdansk, Poland. They got pregnant in the 1st cycle, and have been satisfied with five star treatment for a low cost

I've just looked it up and it is really cheap!!

Which clinic they used in Gdansk? Thank you 😊

I'm new to this but also looking at IVF in Spain (IVI Valencia) with donor eggs, so I don't have any experiences to share with you yet, but was interested in your post. The main reasons we chose there is because there is no waiting list for donor eggs, and we've read some really positive reports about them. They speak English, so no communication barrier. The other reason, which may seem a bit lame, is because we'd watched a programme about fertility and it featured fertility treatment and progress in IVF at IVI.

Thanks everyone for your advice. It has certainly been good for thought. We were originally looking at access fertility in Bristol but this would require a huge upfront cost which we just can't afford. I have been on holiday before to Prague and having now looked at those online they are very tempting. I have put myself off Spain having read that the success rates from Spain aren't managed HFEA. Depends what you're looking for? Donor eggs? Or your own egg IVF etc. We are using a fab Spanish clinic in Barcelona.

Check out:

eggdonationfriends.com/egg-...

They give you all the success criteria of every clinic. The Spanish are pioneers of s lot of IVF treatment these days and the care is way better than the london clinics I've used.

Why have you ruled out Spain?

Don't need donor eggs. Would be ivf with icsi. I am just cautious of their success rate stats and they are seemingly unregulated x

That's true, I called ivi. Their 95% is based on every positive test not a successful pregnancy. Once you're positive they have no other follow up

Right, we have made our decision. Appointment booked in April at Bath IVF we are going to follow the IVF refund programme. Feeling excited to get in motion again. A few more months to save for our mammoth upcoming medical bill!

Not what you're looking for?
