Progesterone - how many weeks were you when you weaned off? Or did you go cold turkey ?

I am 11 weeks 2 days pregnant now and I have been taking 400mg progesterone twice a day . The last two days I have taken once a day . Then in 4 days time I will take one every other day then stop . Did you spot when you came off it ? When and how did you stop ?

Hey I didn't have any spotting when I came off it and it was at 12 weeks I stopped. X

Weaned off in a pretty similar way to you are. I did have some spotting before finishing but luckily everything was ok.

Hi, I'm only at 7w2d and have been on 3x200mg progesterone since few days before ET. My clinic prescribed a reduction protocol starting week 9 - I reduce by one pessary each week and then have one alternating days - so in total gradual reduction over 4 weeks....

Stopped at 12 weeks. I was on the same dose as you and was told I could just stop. But I weaned my way off it over a number of days so was probably closer to 13 weeks when I stopped altogether. No spotting or anything else.

I am 9weeks but my clinic told me at my 7week scan to stop taking my progesterone straight away. I am a little concerned after reading your comments as I have now a perisac bleed so wonder if I came off them to soon.

What is w persiac bleed? There must have been a reason why they told you to come of them early, maybe you didn't need it? Speak to them about the 12 week thing and the bleed . If you had a good scan surely that's a good sign. Hope it goes well xx

I'm on 2x 200mg a day . I'm 7weeks and 4days pregnant. When my test was positive I call clinic and they send me extra 3boxes ...I got only till Monday coming that gonna be 8weeks . I had my first scan all ready week ago all good . I read here that many o you carry on with progesteron till first scan only or till 12weeks . Maybe I need to call clinic to ask them if it's gonna be safe for me to stop them when they finish .xx

Yes they said to me there's no harm

Either way taking it until 12 weeks. Im 12 weeks already according to scans but I'll continue weaning off for another 3-4 days

I was on 3/day till 12 weeks, then had 1 week of 2/day then 1 week of 1/day then stopped. This was a step down regime from my clinic. Didn't have any spotting and am now 15 weeks! It's soooo nice to not have to wear panty liners finally!! 😂
