Yay! EC update 😊

Thanks lovely ladies for the good luck wishes for my EC yesterday. They managed to collect 8 eggs and called this morning to say 6 have fertilised 👏 I could have leapt down the phone to hug the embryologist!! I'm now keeping everything crossed that they keep developing well and will have ET either on Thursday or Saturday 🍀🍀🍀 Best wishes and baby dust to all xxx

Hello! I've been following your posts as I too had my EC yesterday. They collected 9 and called today to tell me 6 had fertilised. I wasn't sure if this was bad or good. Waiting to hear if I'll be Thursday Or Saturday. I'm feeling optimistic and pesimesitic at the same time which I'm sure is normal enough. Just don't want to get too excited. How did you feel after EC? I'm getting some twinges and feel quite tired. Worse thing is a cold developed when I got home on Monday. Sending lots of positivity your way xx

Thanks Fran35 , we're on the same ET timings then! I was completely wiped out yesterday and struggled to get up this morning and I've had some crampy twinges although they're easing off now. Hope ur cold gets better soon, get urself dosed up so ur feeling healthier ready for ET 👍🏼 Good luck to you too 🍀🍀 xx

Aww thanks cheshirekit I'm trying to eat lots of oranges for vitamin c. Awful timing with the cold. The told me the amount of fertilised eggs this morning. Will get a call again tomorrow. Will they tell us the grading of the embryos then? Wondering what is the difference between day 3 transfer and day 5?Do you have any idea ? X

Am not sure about the grading thing, the hospital I'm going to didn't mention it and didn't say they'll be calling me unless they need to do transfer on Thursday. As I understand it if the embies are developing well and there's a few of them they'll leave transfer until day 5, but if they aren't developing so well they'll transfer them sooner to give them the best chance. I want to call my clinic tomorrow I'm so impatient to know how they're doing! 😉 Xx
