It's been 2 ww since transfer date but instead of testing today we've been told to test 16 days after? Has anyone else had to do this? Do you know why?
It did cross my mind to test today but the longer I leave it the longer there is still hope.
This is our 4th go, 1st private.

Hi my clinic which is also private made my OTD 16 days after transfer. I assume they do it because they only do a beta test if you get a positive. So by 16 days if HPT is negative then its negative. This is on a 5 day transfer as well.

Hi Bobenhams3. I had private treatment and had 2 x 3 day embryos transferred. My wait was 16 days also which I thought was odd but they told me it depends on when you start the pessaries (the NHS had always told me it depended on the age of the embryos). I did an hpt on 23rd Dec which was the day before my OTD and got my first ever BFP. Then when I had my beta blood test on xmas eve my hcg level was high at 299. Good luck with your OTD. I tested on the 2nd Jan and got a positive result. I'm still in complete shock. Hope you are getting on well x

I am! I had my blood test on Monday and then got the lovely call that evening to confirm. I'm feeling ok, just making sure I eat regularly so I don't feel sick and the medication is still making me feel dizzy from time to time (like right now) just hoping I'm a bit more lucky than my sister who has sickness all the way through her pregnancies x
