Morning all! Just a quick one. Second IVF will commence after Xmas and I've decided to change my vitamins. Until now, I've just been taking folic acid (as recommended by my clinic) but I really feel like a multi-vitamin will be more beneficial. Can I ask, which ones have you used/been advised to use!? Thanks πŸ˜šπŸ€πŸ€

I take Pregnacare conception and my husband takes the Wellman conception ones (they come in a couples double pack). Having researched all the nutrients beneficial for fertility, these seem to contain them all - and the make ones also contain maca which is supposed to be good for sperm health. Good luck xx

I think the most common one is Pregnacare. You can get Pregnacare Conception and Pregnacare for pregnancy. Just make sure you take it on a full stomach and when you are to taking antibiotics, take them at a different time as some antibiotics react with iron and zinc to make them less effective.

I've been taking them since I started trying and I also take high dose folic acid separately.

Our clinic said they're all pretty much the same off the shelf these days, but steer clear of evening primrose/starflower apparently. After my daughter died an early pregnancy specialist advised me to have 5000mcg of folic acid (normal is 400, so quite a bit more!). She said it may do nothing, but won't do any harm and she's seen many Ivf and reoccurring loss mums have healthy babies after using higher dosage folic acid. Worth a shot, ask your doc if they can prescribe xx
