Question is it two weeks you wait? As I'm sure my clinic say test on day 32 which is 11 days from transfer
Is it two weeks?: Question is it two... - Fertility Network UK
Is it two weeks?
It usually depends when collection was made as they take the average 14 days following collection. The two week wait is the two weeks from collection. So if you had a 5 day transfer you'd test 9 days later, or for 3 day transfer test 11 days later. Does that help? it's a little shorter that way as you've already done some of your waiting before transfer! x
Ok so my embryos are 5 day ones - and frozen transfer so is 11 days about right? Woop! I thought it was two weeks from the day the go back in - so it's from collection! But in my case frozen thinking it will be 11 days - they will obviously confirm this later just curious.
Do you recommend taking rest for the next week or keep myself busy - mixed reviews doctors say keep active - others I know who have had IVF and been successful have said they have rested and not done a thing x
If you had 5 day embryos transferred you can test after 9 days (5+9=14)
I rested mostly but took walks, went to the cinema/local pub etc just to keep busy. I got my BFP - I wish the same luck to you x
I don't know how frozen transfer works so as you say clinic will confirm but good to know you don't have as long to wait as you first thought :).
I did rest but also did gentle exercise, really just walking- not too far or for too long. I read that gentle exercise can be good as promotes oxygen to the uterus. And doing your usual pleasant things like the cinema or meals out, to keep busy as Katrina says. I also ate high protein yoghurt and drank semi-skimmed milk. Good luck! Xx
