Bad day today. : Hello ladies. Today I... - Fertility Network UK
Bad day today.
Hey piglet12 please do not give yourself a hard time for having a bad day we all have em Hun. X I cannot look at pregnant women either it hurts so much my best is having a baby next month I'm really struggling coz I'm happy for her but it kills me it's not us yet. Please don't feel Alone on that front I think it's quite normal x
I had a bad day yesterday I had to cancel my ivf which due to start next cycle due to health concerns, (bleeding in between my periods) my lady doctor has ordered investigations to be done a scan to be done and several hormonal blood tests to be done on day 5 of my next cycle. My clinic didn't react well to the news made me feel worse even had a cry sometimes it just gets too much Hun but luckily my ex nurse phoned me back and put my mind at rest, said it was most likely polyps causing the bleeds and it is easily sorted and actually it's advisable for ladies to be scanned for polyps prior ivf treatment as polyps can stop potential implanation could be a blessing in disguise so I've got a good lady dr and my ex nurse on side supporting sometimes we need that medical support coz this situation is so hard I'm grateful for that support x feeling more positive now
I always think it's healthier to let these emotions out rather than bottle them up don't feel bad if you need a good Cry sometimes we all need one
As for the thrush you can buy treatment over the counter if you don't want to see you doctor but if it's not gone after taking it for a few days then see a lady nurse. X Don't feel ashamed about it it's not down to poor hygiene or anything like that it's to with too much bacteria building very common for women. When I saw a nurse practioner a week or so ago she took swabs for sti all clear but I had thrush which I think was caused by me being on antibiotics last month . X
I hope you feel ok soon here if you need to talk take care lovely xxxx
Hi Jess. Thank you for replying. Sorry you had to cancel your cycle. But on the safe side. It's better. glad you gave support to. I have booked a appointment with our counsellor after our holiday before our next attempt. I all ready feel a tiny bit better for writing it on here. I will be going to chemist for caneston. I have had thrush before. And it normally clears very quickly. But will go to doctors if not. Here if you need to talk to hun. Lots of love. Xxx
Hi Piglet12. Sorry to hear your having a bad day, I often get them and I know what you mean by seeing other pregnant woman . I actually thought I was okay about it until I found out just after Christmas that 3 ladies at my work are having babies, although Im please for them all it kinda hit me hard, been trying for 3 years and have had 2 miscarriages.. :-(( .. Have to try and keep positive though one day we shall all be mums I just think if I cant have my own there are other options out there, plenty of lovely children needing loving families. XXX
Hi Piglet,
Sorry to hear you're having a tough day, unfortunately it seems to be part of the infertility journey! I had a quite a big wobble a couple of weeks ago, everything just seemed too much but things are feeling better now we've got our treatment plan, just got to wait for day 1 and then it's all go.
I hope you have a lovely holiday and find the appointment with the counsellor helpful.
Hopefully the thrush will soon clear up.
Sending you my best regards!
Hello, sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday. I was the same, felt totally fine during the day, then found myself in tears in the supermarket (which was full of pregnant women and prams!). I went to the gym after which really helped. Took a bit to motivate myself but I knew it would be better than sitting at home overthinking!
I know level little about thrush but if it's recurring it sounds like it would be worth mentioning to your doctor. I've only ever had it once (after antibiotics) but it's pretty uncomfortable!
Anyway, I hope today is a better day and that you have a nice weekend.
Take care x
Hi piglet12. Sorry to hear you have thrush again – horrible thing to have! On a medical note, if you have had a few sessions of thrush, you may need to see your GP for a systemic solution. This would just entail having one or two tablets orally to work through the whole of you, rather than just the “itchy” bit. Hope it soon subsides. Diane
Hello Diane. Thank you for getting back to me. I have had a few sessions of thrush. Now. So I better had phone and ask to speak to a gp. Not close together. But still Enough that I remember them. It does all ready seem to be easing a bit. Thank you once again.
Hi piglet12. No probs! Nasty little thing needs to be got rid of! Your GP will sort it, I'm sure. Good luck! Diane
I found taking Acidophilus supplements has really helped keep thrush and UTIs at bay- I hope you feel better soon. Xx
Hi Piglet, I haven't been on here for a few days but just read your post. Hope you are feeling better. Glad the thrush is improving. Take care xx
