I wouldn't do it. Apart from anything germs on planes from air con is gross. I always catch something when I fly. Ask your nurse at the clinic or midwife if you've already been assigned one.

Can your family come to you? X

I'm going on holiday myself not this week but the next ..I'll be around 6 weeks then. I did tell the nurse at our clinic and she said to make sure that I get insurance out and tell them I'm pregnant but apart from that she didn't say i shouldn't and said it would be a nice break....

Ok thanks both. My family can't come to me unfortunately and we've been looking forward to going for ages. Were going to speak to clinic and see what they say. There doesn't seem to be any evidence either way but if something was to happen id always wonder if it was because of it.... Hmmm undecided. Looked into train/driving but twice the price. X

Why dont you just wait a while till you are further on and more relaxed? You wont be so anxious and will feel more confident. Sure everyone would understand if you put it of for a bit. Enjoy your pregnancy whatever you decide xx

Hi, i had treatment overseas, so had to fly back home in the very early stages of pregnancy. i then flew to switzerland at 10 weeks for a hen weekend and everything was fine. there is a moment on take-off and landing where you hope and pray everything will be fine, and really it is, otherwise there would be advise against travelling. However, you have to do what you are comfortable with, within reason.

Hi, congrats on your news, I agree with lots of the others comments, it's entirely ur choice, u have to feel comfortable with ur decision. I flew to Turkey for a girly hol the day after my 7week scan with ivf/icsi twins and it was fine although morning sickness on a plane was not great!! I have also been to Chicago and Prague prior to my 20 week scan too, but it's up to you and how your feeling!! I'm now 38+ weeks waiting for these little pickles to make an appearance!! Enjoy ur pregnancy xx

Flew to west coast in America for a wedding at 8 weeks. We had a scan just prior. We were advised to bring our own food on the plane as airplane food isn't always the safest. If it's stressful for you, don't do it. I did a 14 hour flight no problems... I slept as much as possible.
