Good luck with that. I've not been given a date yet but hopefully start meds next month around 17th? I feel really bad every time I have a tipple but the waiting game is really stressful as the clinic said I was starting in January and now it's end on March. Just woundered if anyone had drank up until meds time x

I did. Only just stopped, when I started doing the injections, they have also said I need to drink at least 2 litres of water a day. Remember you need to be very healthy when your follicles are growing to make good eggs!! Hopefully... I don't know wether you will need the down regs or not but I'm surprised with it, it doesn't hurt and no side effects apart from hot flushes! X hope you get a date to start soon x

Thankyou I need some tips as they have not said Anything apart from take folic acid. I'm also a bad water drinker so that will have to change too.

I don't mind injections at all I'm just worried about finding the time to do it with my job. I'm not aloud to take injections to work but I work night and days earlies and late shifts. X

That was an awkward one for us too but you can do it within 2 hours time gap, so we chose 11pm just before bed, if we are out, the latest we can do it is 1am or 9pm

Is there a certain hour where you don't work? They will give you all the info when you start your meds, are you private or NHS?

I'm private but also being an egg donor. Every week is different and I'm never at home at a certain time. I sleep out at work too so no time in the evening is good and then that will be followed by and early shift without going home.

My clinic told me not to worry about having 1-2 small drinks during the process, but stick to red wine which is the lesser evil. I believe it's more important to concentrate on diet.. We did really well in terms of eggs (15) and embryos (14) and I credit this to the fact that I haven't eaten any processed food for months. Especially as soon as I started treatment, I upped the protein and ate organic where I could. Lots of eggs, whole organic milk and good quality meat and veg. If you do that, I reckon you can get away with 1-2 glasses of wine.

I'm a poor dieter so thanks for that advice. I am trying my best but then it gets amotional and all I think of is a sneaky glass of wine. Xx

Just get a simple cookbook like Jamie Oliver 15 minute meals and give yourself a challenge to eat fresh and unprocessed! I genuinely believe it can make all the difference.
