Hi Magic80, I had ET on 12th March, my 1st cycle. Are you with CARE? It really was fine, just like a smear really. I'm now at the end of my 2ww. Was supposed to test tomorrow but got AF Fri night. To be honest I was not surprised as I felt pre-menstrual plus very wiped out from the stims etc. I managed to get 5 blasts frozen so feel very lucky about these - am hoping that they will work out better due to my body not being so knackered from treatment! I didnt take any time off work during my 2ww - my job is really good for me as I enjoy it and it distracts me from what is going on with the IVF. I booked tomorrow off as was supposed to test so will still take that day off. Good luck with ET and dont worry about it - it really is fine xxxxx

Hello Jenny and all the active members

I had my et on 10th march, 1st cycle as well no frozen..but they asked me to test on 25th ..I had the same thing on 11th day, I started some broqn spotting only when i wiped off ..and still on and off .. I phoned clinic and mentioned them about my spotting .. she said not to worry .. just do the test on due day .. !!

I had no symptoms so far and feel like that I am out of this race, however, judgement day is not too far away. But I did google came across many times, that bleeding is normal in IVF .. so crossing finger for both of us :)

For you Magic...

After et u feel bloated and constipated and due to HCG trigger shot, may experience all prego symptoms.. thats what happen to me. But I kept on drinking fresh fruit smoothies with water ..nothing else.. (just blend any fav fruit with your water and a glass every day will help you in moving your bowels for sure ...did through out the treatment and never ever was constipated .. :)

Hope it might help you..stay positive and everything gonna be ahright. we did our best .. didn't we?

loads of XxxxX!!

Hi jenny34, I'm so sorry you got AF on Friday but how great you have 5 blasts. Yes I'm with care in Nottingham, are you?? They have been wonderful! Thankyou for your advice it's good to know what to expect so I'm just waiting if I get the call this morning to go in today or if they go to blast and therefore will be Tuesday. Fingers crossed for us both hun xxxx

Theres not much advice I can give apart from bring a pair of slippers. I was awake although this procedure also it was nice to have my husband next to me holding my hand. It was emotional for me when they transferred my embryo happy tears of course.. good luck to you huni x

The transfer is really easy. I felt nothing! Wings of Soul - what a lovely attitude to have. I want some! I was so stressed during the whole process. Magic - try not to be stressed and keep busy. I hung around for the whole two weeks and got really wound out about it, symptom spotting. Next time I want to be on holiday away from email and internet. Don't google symptoms! drives you crazy.

Thanks magic80. I'm at Care Manchester - they have been wonderful too! Good to hear the same about Notts. Sending love, hope you get to Tues xxx

Hi sum1sweeta, yes it was very emotional for us too, but in a good way :-) Wingsofsoul, sounds like it was difficult for you post-ET. I must say I didnt get any of that, I must have been lucky. Was just very very tired but I put that down to the whole experience not just ET.

Love to all, hope you are enjoying your weekend as much as possible xxx

Hi Magic80 as everyone has said it's a quick and painless procedure. It is the norm to be awake its only the collection when you are sedated. The actual procedure takes a minute its them getting you prepared and constantly checking your name and DOB that takes time. The embryologist will be there and they will then tell you how many embryos you have and at what grade. Depending on your age/clinic they will then discuss how many you want transferred, so think about this before so you gave a clear idea. My bladder was fit to burst and that was the only discomfort I had as the nurse needs to push on your bladder to get clear image of uterus. You get to see the embryo go in on the screen and I was also given a picture. It's easy so good luck and enjoy as this may be the start of your little bundle of joy xx jenny sorry to hear about A/F it's pants, I know just been in the same boat and wings you never know so fingers crossed and good luck.

Hia Thankyou so much all of you for replying, it's definately put my mind at rest. So today's call confirmed we are down to 3 now all at grade 2 so they've decided now to put into blastocyst. They have progressed on cells and one has compounded which apparently is great but not 100% sure what this means? We hit earth with a big bump though as they said they only expect 1 to make it to Tuesday when I'm now scheduled for ET. And there is a risk we could end up with none to transfer.... Trying not to think about that though and keeping as busy as possible as we now won't hear anything until tues morning which feels like forever away.

I agree with joydivision, Wingsofsoul you are absolutely right ! we have all tried our very very best. Looks like the 25th is a big day for both of us.

Miss Mmc Thankyou so much for outlining everything.

All of us , big love and keep the hope . Il let you know how Tuesday goes and if my little embryos are fighters ! Xxx

Hope all went well for your transfer. My best advice for the 2ww is take up a hobby! Itll help take your mind off everything and stay off the internet. When I was waiting to take my test every little twitch had me checking Google and it drove me batty!

Good luck

Hi Magic80, good luck and lots of luck. My tips for the 2ww - I agree with pswhiteside - take up a hobby and staying offline is the best advice EVER! I also stayed away from the forums during this time - I just felt quite calm and didnt want anything to make me feel anxious. I played music, read books, trashy magazines, watched films. Work also really helped me, just to have your mind on something else is really helpful, although i know work is stressful for some. Will be keeping my fingers crossed that your little embryos make it xxx

After a sleepless night we got the call this morning to say we still had one surviving embryo following blastocyst at grade 2. We had the transfer this morning It was slightly uncomfortable but really interesting to watch. So onto the 2 ww now...Thankyou so much for the support. What a journey were all on eh?! Xx
