Had the coil fitted before I start ivf. Having serious bleeding. Wondering if anyone else has had any problems or suggestions? Bit worried.

Sorry, I don't understnad, can you explain a bt more? You had the coil, and now have removed it to have IVF, or you've had it fitted as part of your treatment?

Hi flowergirl. I had the coil fitted months ago as I was sick of taking loads of painkillers a day. It is only in till I get my appointment through for my ivf then it's coming out. But I have had major bleeding for the last 5 days and I'm a bit worried about it. Hope that makes more sense.

Hi, I would suggest that you raise this with your medical team, as I don't understand what has caused needing the coil/painkillers and what this bleeding means.

Good luck xx

Hi flower girl, I have endometriosis and that's why I was on the painkillers daily, I was taking gabapentin and having to take a high dose which was not really working. When I went back to the hospital they suggested putting the coil in until my ivf started. Going to head back to my docs and see what they say about the bleeding.
