what to take for a sore throat

I am 11 weeks tomorrow and the last few days I have had a sore throat, it seems to be getting worse not better! Any suggestions as to what I can take? I tried a salt water gargle this morning and that ended badly as I retched (that’s been my main morning sickness sign) then swallowed some which made me retch violently and then brought up that with bile - first time I have actually been sick! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hot honey and lemon water will help to soothe and gargling with an alcohol free chlorhexidine mouth wash (wisdom or corsodyl) are safe and will kill the bacteria in your mouth and throat most lozenges are also pregnancy safe if you want to check ask a pharmacist and they will recommend what you can take. Hope you feel better soon x

thanks! Ice lolly and blanket to keep warm! :)

feel so sorry for you. I think my nausea turned to vomiting as well at around 9 weeks. It will be that giving you a sore throat. Suck some tunes? Not much else you can do other than ride it out. I had terrible acid reflux in later pregnancy but I can say that it disappeared overnight after the birth, and I’d had issues with acid reflux before then so I was really surprised and happy.
