Hi, hope you’re all well. I had a 5 week 1 day scan (to rule out ectopic) on Monday and saw the gestational sac. I am freaking out as I’m reading of ladies seeing a heartbeat at 6 weeks and I didn’t even see a yolk sac. My next scan is at 7 weeks and just wanted to know if you lovely ladies had a similar experience and it miraculously grew in 2 weeks? So so scared.
My symptoms are: tired in the evenings and peeing in the night this last week.

This is totally normal, most clinics don't like to scan that early due to the worry it causes - its great you saw the sac as sometimes you don't even see that that early. Its amazing what happens in the next couple of weeks so try to keep calm - that's the main thing you can do to positively influence things as stress doesn't help you or the embryo. Wishing you heaps of luck for the next scan x

Hi Ubeeten. The scan you had was to rule out an ectopic pregnancy, which it has donw. Look forward to your 7-week scan - my favourite time to do the initial scan, as it reveals much more. Hopefully all is well and you get to meet your little "bean". Diane

Totally normal.I had a scan at 5weeks for the exact same reason and all they saw was the sac aswell.Currently nearly 12 weeks pregnant with our rainbow baby🌈 x
