Is a 9 week scan internal or external?

I am getting a private scan before we go away and wondered if the 9 week scan is usually internal?

Obviously we all love those internal scans...

Just wondered what happened to others being scanned this early? Wanted to mentally prepare myself....

Mine always been internal up to the 12 week scan… I think they might try external but internal will give better images before 12 weeks I belief…

I understand though your longing for external ones though 😅 at the 20 week scan I needed a cervical length scan and again they had to do internal as well. Thought I was done with those 🤣🤣🤣

Suppose as long as what they see is healthy inside it doesn't matter how they get there!

Very true and after so many scans and IVF goes it almost becomes a ‘normal’ thing 🙈

At 8 weeks my viability was internal. 11w private scan was external. I think you should expect an appointment with dildocam then you will be pleasantly surprised if it is external xx

I had internal scans until 10 weeks as it is much clearer! But if you have an external scan then definitely go with a full bladder. Good luck xxx
