So I had no idea where to post but I’ve been bleeding and have had loads of pain!! The early pregnancy unit wouldn’t scan me just told me to go to A&E this was after a doctors referral!!!! As all my observations was fine so I have had to book a private scan to see if I’m still pregnant or not 😞 it’s hard to know where to post with out upsetting anyone

Hun so sorry you are going through it, what I can say is I know it’s very scary but many many women had bleeds and the pregnancy continued. I would also go for a private scan for reassurance. Wishing you all the luck in the world!

That is awful that they wouldn’t scan you!! Surely after being referred by the doctor and bleeding they should have definitely done it!! How far gone are you? I got everything crossed everything is still ok bless you so worrying for you, when have you booked your scan for? Xx

I can see why your worried. I had a bleed at 12wks and the epu checked my cervix and did a scan everything was fine and they couldn’t find a reason. I would totally book a private scan for reassurance 💗 bit shocked they didn’t scan you!

Agree with others as not clear why the EPU won't scan you but hopefully you can get a private one. I had constant bleeding and spotting from when I came off progesterone (probably throughout all of my second trimester) and it turned out to be something on my cervix that was being made worse by the pregnancy and hormones, but no actual risk to the pregnancy. It took a lot of pushing though for them to investigate as I was told by the midwives it's very common to bleed, especially early on - it was only when I got in touch with the consultant team that they asked me to come in (immediately, I might add) and they did a load of tests. I really hope everything's ok and you can get some reassurance x

Oh no, that’s terrible that they wouldn’t scan you. And I have no idea why as that’s what they’re there for. When I had this I went to 2 hospital A&Es and they kept referring me to the EPU which wasn’t open! I’m so sorry for you going through this. I hope you get better news at your private scan 🤞
