What tests and other investigations did you do after repeated miscarriage?

Hi ladies,My full story is up in my profile, but in a nutshell, I have been lucky enough to get pregnant following each of my two IVF cycles, however, both ended up in miscarriages. The first at 6 weeks and just now at 9 weeks. I am 39 years young and my husband is 45

I feel like doctors will just say that it's down to some issue with the embryo's chromosome, age and all the big issues, but no one really looks further into the situation. I am looking into my thyroid results to see if anything was overlooked (my mom had a lot of thyroid issues and eventually had hers removed) and considering going for a full body test and get anything possible checked (it is pricey though). Would love to hear about your own testing and research following miscarriage if anyone is happy to share their experience and some advice?

so sorry to hear about your miscarriage hope you are doing ok and have lots of support around you!

I’ve had a few miscarriages and two failed transfers- we were told we had sperm issues but I knew deep down there was something the matter with me also even tho various tests via the NHS showed there wasn’t.

I went private after my two failed transfers and had my NK cells tested and they were high. Basically my body was rejecting everything and anything (I had a boob job done years ago and all my stitching was pushed out!) so it made sense to me. The following transfer I was treated for this and it resulted in my little girl who is now 6! I had two transfers after with my left over embryos and I have another little girl who is 4 and an 22 weeks pregnant with my last embryo.

I really think it’s worth looking into this if you haven’t already
