Scans showing low numbers of follicles with increased bemfola

Hi everybody,

I just wondered if anyone else has had this experience as I'm starting to feel broken! I'm on my 2nd cycle of IVF with MACS ICSI, I'm 29 and my AMH is 8.08 so they never expected to get loads of eggs, but first time round on scans they only saw 5 follicles developing, but managed to collect 8 eggs, I was on 225iu bemfola, so this time they upped my bemfola to 300iu and added in 150 luveris. This made me more hopeful of getting more eggs.

I've been in for my third scan today on day 10 of stims and there's only 4 follicles growing this time round. The nurse said that there's still time for the few other tiny ones in there to grow over the weekend but it seems even less hopeful this Time than when I was on a lower dose. Has anyone else had this experience?

I have 3mth baby girl after collecting 4 eggs. My AMH was 5.3. So please be positive! Especially whilst you are still in treatment and more can grow over the weekend. A friend of my sister's had a baby after collecting just one egg. It just takes one!

It took me 2 cycles andc1 FEt before I had my first successful icsi.

Positive attitude and belief it is going to happen helps I think. Of course you can't be positive all the time but until you get s definite it didn't work believe it will

First of all I would like to say that your AMH is slightly on the lower side for your age (hope this will not upset you) and the number of follicles is actually a reflection of that. You don't need to worry that much that are only 4 or 5 follicles, what is more important is quality and all of them to be mature. The tiny ones can catch up this weekend so stay positive. My AMH at 29 years old was 35 (above average) but I only had 7 eggs mature last time and 4 blastocysts. I wish you good luck and stay strong 💪🤗❤️

Hi there, so with that cycle unfortunately even with increased bemfola and added luveris they only collected 5 eggs, and only 3 of those were mature enough to use. We had one egg fertilise and I did have that transfered but resulted in a negative pregnancy test. They have tweaked a few more things for our 3rd cycle which starts tomorrow so fingers crossed 🤞
