Help. So confused!

I'm so confused and need some advice.

I gave birth to my son 6 months ago concieved through ivf.

Sounds silly but after years of infertility, laparoscopy confirming blocked tubes me and my oh didnt worry about contraception, so finding out I was pregnant on the 9th October came as a huge surprise only for my world to come crashing down the next day at the epu when a scan and bloods confirmed I was having a miscarriage. The only reason I tested was because I was experiencing brown spotting instead of a period which has never happened and all the periods I've had postpartum have been normal and regular.

I passed the baby on the 12th and bled for a week. I started spotting brown discharge yesterday which has got heavier today. I did a pregnancy test this evening and it's still showing a very faint line. I'm so confused as aurly it should be negative now and I'm not even sure if this is a period I'm having. I've never experienced this before and feel so down with it all x

Congratulations on your little miracle!!

Really sorry to hear about miscarriage. I had one in January at 8 weeks following an ivf treatment. Missed miscarriage, I had a pill in order to eliminate everything. The pregnancy test was positive 2 weeks after miscarriage. Don’t worry. It does take some time for hormones to calm down and be back to normal!

It's all so confusing and feel completely alone. When I had my son some of my dark feelings of infertility had gone but they have all come rushing back and I cant help but feel it was my fault.

I am so sorry for your loss, I wish you all the luck and baby dust in your journey. Dont give up hope xx

I had a miscarriage with FET. I was only 5 weeks along and it took almost 4 weeks for my HCG levels to get to negative. My period was very odd afterwards too. I think the body just gets a little out of whack and has to normalize itself from all the hormones. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I'm beginning to think my mc is incomplete as the bleeding I'm having is very similar to when I first had the mc with lots of clots and stringy bits (sorry for the tmi) still getting the faint positives too. I might speak to the epu and get some advice x
