I hope you maybe able to give me some advice about starting IVF treatment following a mmc.
I had a mmc in March, I have tried naturally since but unfortunately my period came in Thurs 😢.
I’m lucky enough that my clinic is planning to re open for treatment from July, I have spoken to them and they have said that they can book/ plan treatment from this period. Is this too soon?
I had a very light period beginning of May which was my first following mmc, then this one.
They are planning that I take norethierone on day 21 of this cycle for 8 days which will delay my next period.
Should I go with this or wait another month? I’m worried about not being ready and also my age
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you all xx

So glad your clinic has reopened and you have the go ahead.
I dont think there is a right or wrong answer I am afraid. I have done a round straight after a MMC and been fine mentally and physically, and I have also waited 6 months after a previous MC and still wasn't ready mentally and suffered physically too. I think its a really hard balance trying to get back to a place where you are doing something proactive to get pregnant again and rushing into something to fill the void that is only currently filled with sorrow.
Ultimately only you can decide but you clearly have the physical go ahead from your clinic so you are halfway there, just take some time to work out if you are ready mentally - if you are full of negative thoughts about no way it will work then I wouldn't do it.. but if you can channel positivity and arent too broken I would go for it! I was too doom and gloom I think when I went too early
They said I can leave it a month if I’m not up to it but that will be aug/ sept!! I feel like time is running out.
I’m so confused I don’t know what to do.
I thought maybe another month on the vitamins would be better.
Some say you are more fertile after a miscarriage. Some say wait 3 months but in a way I think now would be three months period begining of may, now and the one in June they would delay for a wk but not sure if that counts if that makes sense.
It’s a double edged sword, if I do it now and it works amazing. If not , I’d wished I’d waited. If I wait and I’d doesn’t then I’d wish I done it earlier. Why is life so hard?
I am sort on the same boat ! I had a MMC in January, we planned to have a next IVF in April as I wanted to try natural, I heard you are more fertile after a miscarriage. It in April was the Covid situation and they were closed , so hopefully I am booked to start treatment this month. My age is a problem as well ! 41... not time to waste.
Good luck with your journey ! Hopefully this time will bring us a little miracle!
Was really devastated time for both of us . Is our first child . But in the end we have to be strong and what it is mean to be will be . We do what we can ,the last word is in God hands!
I have more than 2 years I have been taking pregnacare conception, I take some mio inositol as well , coenzyme q10. Really fed up with medication! I eat a lots of fruits and vegetables. I walk a lot , yesterday we went Epping Forest , walked 15 km , 4 hours. Always weekends we do lots of walking. I exercise as well with a cross trainer but still not successful :(.
My husband is 38, and I just turned 44. To me time is of essence because the gift of having a child would be first for me. My husband has a 8 year old with first wife.
The fertility treatment as you are familiar with is a long, exhausting mentally and physically. The ups and the downs with disappointing results are even more devastating, but as you said it is ultimately Gods Will. And I keep reminding myself of that but in flesh I tend to forget at times, and take the results not so well at times!!!
I am new on this forum and read your messages, and was reaching out to find out as to how you made out?? Did you decide to take a break, or did you move forward??
I AM ALSO INTO THE SAME ROTE AND NEED SOME ADVICE FOLLOWING IVF TREATMENT INCLUDING HOW TO MANAGE HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND ANY SUPPLEMENTS THAT WILL BE OF HELP.
The advice I have been given is to reduce alcohol and caffeine, I have given both up. Drink lots of water, eat healthy, reduce carbs and processed foods.
Supplement wise vitamins d, folic acid I think are the main ones recommended but I also take lots for quality including royal jelly, coq10.
Good morning Miracle43, thanks very much for your advice. I will look into taking the supplements you listed. Lucky for me, I don’t drink or smoke and I am doing my best staying on the healthy eating side with some little e exercise. Thanks once more.
